Student Advisory Council
UFAs School Advisory Council (SAC) is a discussion forum that includes parents, teachers, principal, vice principal, teachers, students and guests. Historically it has been a very pro-active SAC with 20 or more parent attendees at each meeting. Meetings are held monthly and this year will take place on alternating Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
Attending these meetings is a good opportunity to catch up with everything that is happening at UFA. SAC meetings are an opportunity to bring concerns to the table for discussion in a forum that includes the principal and vice principal. The meetings are also a way for parents to be involved in their children's school careers, and for everyone to learn about some of the challenges faced by teachers and about new initiatives in the TDSB and at UFA. SAC encourages all interested staff, students and parents to attend.
SAC has also been helping fundraise for UFAs Landscaping Project which is an initiative that is going to help make the outside of our school into an outdoor classroom essentially! SAC also helps to put on our annual Spring Gala.
