Welcome to Ursula Franklin Academy's school website! Here you will find school news, application information, and much more.

Ursula Franklin Academy, or UFA, is a small, publicly-funded specialized secondary school located in Bloor West Village, Toronto, Ontario. Founded in September of 1995, we combine innovation, high expectations, and a sense of community to foster a dynamic learning environment.

Our school has an academic focus where we cover Ontario and Toronto District School Board academic curriculum expectations. We also feature an Enriched Wednesday program that provides a unique inter-grade opportunity for students to take ownership of their own learning. Students are offered the chance to design and implement their own courses, and participate in sessions that broaden the scope of their inquiry and understandings. In addition, our school is informed by the following core values:

UFA Core Values

Community of Learners
Connected Knowledge
Spirit of Inquiry
Social Justice

We place a particular focus on analyzing the practice of technology in society while harnessing technology as a tool to enhance academic pursuits. We aim to provide an overall school experience that develops critical thinking, active citizenship, and prepares students for post-secondary studies.
